Police stumped over theft of fossil in Native village

Police in Alaska say they are having trouble finding out who is behind the recent theft of two fossilized mastodon tusks in an Inupiat Eskimo village.

Thefts are reportedly rare in Deering, a small village of 131. But no one wants to talk about the missing bones, worth an estimated $30,000.

Gilbert Barr found the bones and says he noticed they were gone last month. He has a suspect in mind but police have not turned up any leads.
