Amateur boxers on the Navajo Nation are praising an independent movie that was partly filmed on the reservation.
"In some movies, the Indians lose," amateur boxer Lowell Bahe told The Gallup Independent. "In this movie, the Indians win."
Bahe trains at Damon's Boxing Club in Chinle, Arizona. Some scenes for the movie "Black Cloud" were filmed there.
Actor Rick "Ricky" Schroder financed the movie using tribal funds, although he won't name who helped him. He is screening it around the country.
