Indian students at Edmonds Community College in Washington will hold their 18th annual pow-wow this weekend.

The American Indian Student Association expects dancers from the United States and Canada for the three-day event, which begins Friday. Ten drum groups will compete for prizes.

Emcee Arlie Neskahi, who won a Grammy for a composition and performance he did on an album by the Paul Winter and the Earth Band, will give a pow-wow etiquette class as part of the festivities.

All this week, the school is hosting a series of educational events leading up to the pow-wow.
