Newspaper publisher Tim Giago plans to introduce a third paper to serve Dakota Country in eastern South Dakota and Minnesota.
The Dakota Journal will debut July 1 with offices on the Flandreau Santee Sioux Reservation in South Dakota and in Minneapolis.
The paper is an addition to the Lakota Journal of South Dakota and the Pueblo Journal of New Mexico.
Giago founded Indian Country Today in South Dakota with a focus on the Plains tribes. He later sold the paper to the Oneida Nation of New York.
