Native law students holding spring conference

The National Native American Law Students Association is holding its annual spring conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, this week.

NNALSA will kick off the meeting with an awards banquet on Wednesday, April 14, at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. The evening starts with a welcome reception at 7:30 p.m. featuring entertainment by flutist Adrian Wall of Jemez Pueblo. The banquet will start at 8:00 p.m. This year's theme is "Honoring the History of NNALSA."

After the banquet, NNALSA will host the first Annual NDNLawP'looza Concert, featuring Red Earth (http://www.tribalstew.com), an Indian Country favorite. The concert begins at 9:45 p.m. at the cultural center.

NNALSA's spring meeting is being held in conjunction with the Federal Bar Association's Indian Law Conference from April 14-16. NNALSA is comprised of over 50 chapters and over 200 members. Its mission is to advance both Indian law students and Indian law issues across the country, as well as help recruit future Native law students.
