The Coquille Tribe of Oregon has finalized the purchase of a 50.5-acre site of a former sawmill.
The tribe did not disclose the purchase price but the Weyerhaeuser timber company was asking $6.5 million.
Plans for the site, and a 1-acre parcel nearby, are still under discussion. The tribe is completing a master plan that could include retail stores.
