Three Fairbanks-based Alaska Native organizations are holding meetings this week.
Tanana Chiefs Conference kicks off Tuesday and runs through Sunday. Delegates will select a new traditional Athabascan chief, elect new officers and hear from Gov. Frank Murkowski (R). TCC represents 42 villages in Alaska's Interior region.
Doyon Ltd., an Alaska Native regional corporation, holds its annual meeting on Friday and will elect some board members. Doyon will recognize shareholders of the year and Elder of the Year.
The Fairbanks Native Association has its annual meeting on Saturday. Three director seats are up for election.
