Wis. school board votes to change Indian head logo

The Osseo-Fairchild school board in Wisconsin voted 4-1 on Monday to change its Indian head logo.

The logo of a Plains Indian will be changed to an image of a Ho-Chunk Indian. Despite the revamp, the logos look alike, the Associated Press reported.

A school board member said members of the Ho-Chunk Nation were consulted about the change. But other tribal members who attended the school board meeting said it was still offensive.
