Police on the Mescalero Apache Reservation in New Mexico say a 17-year-old boy killed his mother before taking his own life.
Christian Aldava reportedly killed his mother Agnes Aldava on Sunday night after an argument.
Police said the argument wa over a handgun Christian had brought home.
Police responded to the home and found the mother dead. Christian's 15 year-old-brother had apparently made the 911 call.
Christian was not at the scene but police later found him at his uncle's home, where had hanged himself.
