A former policeman on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota pleaded not guilty in federal court to sexual abuse and sexual abuse of a minor.
Jonas Patrick Not Help Him, 37, is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl while on the job. The alleged incident took place in March 2002 on the reservation.
Pending trial, a federal judge released Not Help Him into the custody of his wife, who is also a tribal police officer.
