Tribal official says host hurts Republican Party


An official with the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota says allegations of Indian voter fraud by political commentator Robert Novak hurt the Republican Party.

Novak defended his remarks and said he wasn't biased against American Indians But Eileen Janis, the tribe's finance coordinator, told The Rapid City Journal that his statements hurt the GOP's standing with reservation voters.
