Indian students at an alternative high school in Washington got a chance to meet a man who has inspired them.
John McCoy, a member of the Tulalip Tribes, is the only Native American in the state Legislature. He was elected a state representative for a district that includes the Tulalip Reservation.
Students at the Indian Heritage Middle College High School wrote to McCoy after he was elected. He urged them to be proud of their Native ancestry.
