The Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake in California is spending $29.7 million on its casino, The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat.
The building for the 33,000-square-foot Running Creek Casino will cost $8.9 million. The fixtures, including 349 slot machines, will cost an additional $9.8 million. The tribe originally budgeted less for the casino. But construction costs added $1.1 million to the price tag. Additionally, delays associated with negotiating a second Class III gaming compact required an additional $3.2 million. All of the financing came from Luna Entertainment in Michigan. Get the Story:
