Friday, November 4, 2011
The Spokane Tribe of Washington is upgrading a gas station and adding an Arby’s next to the site of its its proposed off-reservation casino.
The tribe operates Spoko Fuel, a gas station and convenience store, near Airway Heights. As part of the Spokane Tribe Economic Project, the tribe is upgrading the gas pumps and redesigning the entrance to account for traffic.
The tribe is also bringing an Arby's to the site. The restaurant is expected to open in January 2012.
Spoko Fuel and Arby's are next to a 145-acre site that the tribe wants to use for an off-reservation casino. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is reviewing the project.
