Mississippi Choctaw council delays vote on casino proposal

The tribal council of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians met on Wednesday to consider a casino away from the main reservation.

The council did not vote on the casino as anticipated. They said they want to look into financing options, WDAM-TV reported.

The Class II facility would be located near Sandersville, in Jones County. The site is about 80 miles from main tribal headquarters in Philadelphia, where the tribe operates two casinos.
