The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska is putting 40 people back to work at its temporary casino in Iowa.

The temporary home of the BlackBird Bend Casino will open in December. It's replacing CasinoOmaha, which closed last year due to flooding on the Missouri River.

"I think it'll bring some revenue for the tribe. It'll put tribal members and others to work," William Walsh, the CEO of the casino, told KCAU-TV.

The permanent BlackBird Bend Casino is expected to open next year. The tribe will employ over 150 people, Walsh said.
