COVID-19 in Indian Country
The Seneca Nation is mourning the loss of five community members to COVID-19. Three of them are from the same family of Seneca matriarchs.
Diane Kennedy, a former employee of the Bureau of Indian Affairs who went home to the Seneca Nation to serve her people, passed away at the age of 71 due to COVID-19.
Norma Kennedy, a beloved elder from the Seneca Nation, passed away due to COVID-19. She was 92 years old.
