Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez, Vice President Myron Lizer, and Miss Navajo Nation Shaandiin Parrish paid tribute to fallen warriors with the laying of a wreath at the memorial wall at Veterans Memorial Park.

On Memorial Day, Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez and Vice President Myron Lizer will honor tribal veterans who lost their lives, as well as those missing in action. A food distribution for veterans to assist them during the COVID-19 pandemic will also take place.

Members of the Piestewa Peak Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, placed flags on the graves of soldiers at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona and Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.
