Burnstick performs "Pay No Mind" at the International Indigenous Music Summit in New Orleans, Louisiana, on January 23, 2020.

"Pay No Mind" was written after the case of Colten Boushie, a 22-year-old Native man from the Cree Red Pheasant First Nation who was shot and killed by a non-Native man. The non-Native man was eventually acquitted of second-degree murder and manslaughter.

Burnstick is the duo of husband Jason Burnstick (Plains Cree) and wife Nadia Gaudet Burnstick (Francophone Metis).
