Carcieri still hasn't named independent panel

Gov. Donald Carcieri plans to announce the members of an independent panel that will review the raid sometime this week. He had hoped to have the committee put together last week but there was some sort of unreported delay. He did assign Sanford Cloud Jr., the president and CEO of the nonprofit National Conference for Community and Justice, to act as an adviser to the panel. NCCJ is a anti-discrimination and human-relations organization.
