Donald Trump filing lawsuit against Pequot tribe

WEDNESDAY, MAY 28, 2003

Casino mogul Donald Trump will file a lawsuit today against the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.

Trump is upset that the tribe dumped him as a casino partner. He says he will enforce a contract he made with the Paucatuck Eastern Pequots, a faction of the larger tribe.

Former assistant secretary Neal McCaleb finalized the tribe's federal status last June. The decision is on appeal.
