Fla. tribe fights for court oversight

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2002

A federal judge in Florida won't appoint a court monitor to oversee the federal government's $7.8 billion Everglades cleanup.

The Miccosukee Tribe and environmental groups asked for court oversight. U.S. District Judge William Hoeveler ordered the government to provide more information.
