The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs meets to consider the nomination of Patrice H. Kunesh to be Chair of the National Indian Gaming Commission, the federal agency that oversees the $41.9 billion tribal casino industry.

Kunesh currently serves as Commissioner of the Administration for Native Americans for President Joe Biden. She was the sole witness at the hearing on September 18, 2024.

After being sworn in, Kunesh provided a brief, two-page statement [PDF] for the hearing. She then answered questions from committee members.

The hearing lasted about 42 minutes.
