Rep. Mary Peltola (D-Alaska) addresses the National Congress of American Indians on February 14, 2024.
Peltola is Yup’ik. She is the first Alaska Native person to serve in the U.S. Congress.
Peltola spoke at NCAI’s executive council winter session, held at a hotel in Washington, D.C. She also provided a response, via video, to the State of Indian Nations on Monday.
