Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii) is calling out museums, universities and other institutions for failing to comply with the Native American Graves Protection Act and Repatriation Act, a federal law known as NAGPRA.

Schatz serves as chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. He’s entered into the Congressional record a full list of entities that he said have been slow to return ancestral remains and cultural property to their rightful owners.
