DUE TODAY — PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON THE GASB’S TECHNICAL PLAN[/sub] The Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council (GASAC) is seeking feedback in prioritizing the Governmental Accounting Standards Board’s (GASB) technical plan. This survey will inform the GASAC and GASB on what areas to focus its research.

The survey is geared towards Tribal CFOs, Treasurers, and Financial Professionals.

The deadline for completion of the survey is Monday, April 5th, 2021, and should take 15 minutes to complete.

On Wednesday, March 31st, President released the American Jobs Plan, an over $2 billion infrastructure proposal. The Plan includes funding and programs to support infrastructure investments in transportation, electricity grids, broadband, water systems, housing, health care, agriculture, climate change mitigation, and create job opportunities.

Tribal governments and communities are specifically mentioned in the Plan, including: $56 billion in grants and low-cost flexible loans to states, Tribes, territories, and disadvantaged communities for water systems infrastructure; a focus on supporting roads and bridges in rural and Tribal communities; Tribal set-asides for broadband infrastructure; clean energy power generation and grid modernization; build and retrofit more than a million housing units, and the creation of a new $5 billion Rural Partnership Program to help build Tribal and rural economic development and communities. Congress will work on developing legislation around the plan in the next few weeks.

The Department of the Treasury is seeking nominations for three appointments to the Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee (TTAC).

Applicants must submit a cover letter and resume to TTAC@treasury.gov with the subject line ‘‘Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee member application or recommendation’’ by June 1, 2021. Self-nominations and re-nomination of current TTAC members are welcome.

The deadline for written comments for the formula for the $20 billion distributions for tribal governments from the American Rescue Plan has been extended, comments can be sent to TribalARPconsult@treasury.gov no later than 11:59 EST on Friday, April 9, 2021.

The Scholarships Manager is an integral part of the Student Success Services Team that administers scholarship and other student support programs to fulfill a core mission of the American Indian College Fund – offering students access to knowledge, skills, and cultural values that enhance their education, their communities, their careers and the country. The Scholarships Manager manages and administers the TCU and Full Circle Scholarship programs, leads scholarship recruitment efforts and supervises the Scholarships Coordinator. In addition, the Manager assists the Student Success Services Team in the overall administration of all scholarships and other student success programs and represents the College Fund at various marketing/recruitment events.
