Witness list for Senate Committee on Indian Affairs hearing on Trump budget

The Senate Committee on Indian Affairs is taking up the Trump administration's fiscal year 2020 budget request for tribal programs at a hearing on Wednesday.

The request seeks $2.8 billion for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Bureau of Indian Education. That's nearly $300 million below current levels.

The Indian Health Service, on the other hand, fares better. The budget seeks $5.9 billion for the agency, an increase of $392 million above current levels.

A panel of federal officials and tribal leaders will testify at the hearing, which will be broadcast on the committee's website. The witness list follows:
