Suspect arrested in connection with murder on Mescalero Apache Reservation
A suspect was arrested in connection with a homicide on the Mescalero Apache Reservation in southern New Mexico.
William Hosetosavit was arrested on Friday after the Bureau of Indian Affairs sent out an alert, The Ruidoso News reported. Local law enforcement said he was to be considered dangerous and possibly armed.
A photo of William Hosetosavit appeared in a flyer circulated by law enforcement in southern New Mexico.
The homicide occurred in an area south of the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino. No further details about the apparent crime were reported.
A search of federal court records did not immediately reveal any charges or an indictment against Hosetosavit as of Sunday evening.
