Citizen Potawatomi Nation donates more than $100,000 to local schools

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation donated more than $100,000 to local schools in Oklahoma, The Shawnee News-Star reports.

The tribe donated $51,243.76 in January and another $52,475.64 in February, the paper said. The money went to the 14 public school districts in Pottawatomie County.

Since 2016, the tribe has donated $497,944.59 to schools. Another $4,979.45 has gone to the Family Justice Center in Shawnee during that same time.
