National Congress of American Indians wraps up big winter session

Hundreds of tribal leaders and Native youth are in Washington, D.C., all week for the winter session of the National Congress of American Indians.

The meeting went from jokes about #BenCarsonDNA on Tuesday to a high-profile appearance on Wednesday from a potential Democratic candidate for president. "Let's talk about Pocahontas," served as the memorable opening for a remarkable speech from Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts).

The general assembly officially adjourned afterward, but attendees are still in town on Thursday for additional listening sessions and consultations with government agencies, plus those all-important visits to Capitol Hill.

You can relive all of the greatest hits (or misses as the case may be) from Wednesday's agenda. And thanks for following @indianz on Twitter!
