PINE RIDGE -- Multiple arrests have been made in connection with the shooting deaths of three Oglala Lakota citizens who were gunned down in separate crimes. The Denver Post has reported that Orlando Guadalupe Jose Ephron Villanueva de Macias was arrested in Colorado on October 3 for the September 29 murder of 34-year-old Annie Colhoff. Villanueva de Macias is currently being held in federal holding in Denver but is expected to be extradited back to South Dakota to face charges. The Post would also report that the accused had just recently been released from federal prison where he served time for a crack cocaine related offense and was already being looked for by probation authorities. Federal agents also apprehended Tiffanee “Love” Garnier, who also goes by Tiffanee Alford, for having knowledge of … "the fatal shooting of Vincent Brewer III,” according to a grand jury indictment filed Nov. 16 in Denver U.S. District Court and first reported on by The Denver Post. Alford was arrested last week in Denver. The shooting of Brewer was witnessed by several community members who have stated that there were multiple assassins who carried out the crime. The Post also reported that court filings stated that Garnier concealed information about who killed Brewer and also assisted in their escape. Additionally she did not notify civil authorities as soon as possible about what she knew. In a third summer shooting United States Attorney Randolph J. Seiler announced that a Pine Ridge, South Dakota, man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for Second Degree Murder and Discharge of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime of Violence. James Robert Dowty, age 27, was indicted on November 16, 2016. Dowty appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daneta Wollmann on November 22, 2016, and pleaded not guilty to the Indictment. The victim in the alleged shooting was 13-yr old Te'ca Clifford, who was gathered with friends near Main Street in Pine Ridge during the early morning hours of July 20, 2016. The three arrests come on the heels of multiple apprehensions over the course of the past several weeks by federal authorities for drug related crimes.
