The Morongo Band of Mission Indians continues to attract businesses to a key portion of its reservation in southern California.

A new Starbucks and a new Panda Express opened on the reservation in the last three weeks. The national retailers join a small but growing list of businesses along a well-trafficked section of Interstate 10.

“Starbucks and Panda Express are among the most recognized and beloved brands in the country, and they will be in good company with the other national chains who call Morongo home,” Chairman Robert Martin said in a press release.

The first In-N-Out Burger in Indian Country is nearby and patrons can also enjoy the first tribally-owned Taco Bell. Rounding out the development are the offices of the First Californian Credit Union and the flagship location of the Hadley Fruit Orchards.

“We are excited to be continuing to bring new projects to Morongo Trail and to be creating new jobs, new economic activity and new opportunity for the region," Martin said.

The stretch of retail is located near the Morongo Casino Resort.
