Interior Secretary Sally Jewell is continuing her tradition of speaking to tribal college graduates.

Jewell will deliver the commencement address at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Minnesota next Thursday, May 19. She will be accompanied by Karen Diver, the former chairwoman of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa who now works at the White House.

"Secretary Jewell will be the first Secretary of the Interior to speak at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, a school that represents a model that is a first of its kind – marrying a tribal college with a state community college – creating more robust curriculum and integrating a diverse community of students from across the nation," a media advisory from the Interior Department reads.

Last year, Jewell delivered the commencement address at Haskell Indian Nations University, a tribal college in Kansas. In 2014, she spoke at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in New Mexico.

Jewell became 51st Secretary of the Interior in April 2013.
