Vanessa Ray-Hodge

Vanessa Ray-Hodge of Acoma Pueblo is joining the firm's office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She recently concluded nearly six years of service as the senior counselor to Solicitor Hilary Tompkins of the Department of the Interior. “I am honored to have had the opportunity to work for the first Native American woman Solicitor of the Interior Department," Ray-Hodge said in a press release. "However, I am grateful now for the opportunity to return to Indian country and determined to help tribes in their future and on-going successes by representing them directly.” Last year, the firm hired Jodi Gillette, a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe who was the Senior Policy Advisor for Native American Affairs and as the Special Assistant to President Barack Obama for Native American Affairs.
