The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians donated $10,000 to help the city of Flint, Michigan, deal with its water crisis. Extremely high levels of lead have been discovered in the city's water system. President Barack Obama declared a state of emergency in response to the health and safety concerns. "This is a time when Michigan residents need to come together to assist the people of Flint in any way we can," Larry Romanelli, the tribe's ogema, or leader, said in a statement, MLive reported. The money will go to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, MLive said. Get the Story:
