The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York has raised the minimum wage for its governmental employees. As of January 1, about 120 employees will earn $11.03 an hour. That's higher than the tribe's prior wage of $11.03 and the state's wage of $9.00, which just went into effect. “This increase represents the tribe’s efforts to provide a livable wage for tribal employees, especially for our front line workers,” executive director Tsiorasa Barreiro said in a press release.
