Navajo team ropers score top medals at National Finals Rodeo

Three members of the Navajo Nation scored big at the National Finals Rodeo in Nevada.

Aaron Tsinigine won the gold buckle for team roping, sharing the title with another competitor. Tsinigine is now ranked number one in the world for headers, having earned $227,672.

Derrick Begay, another tribal member, came in third in team roping. He's ranked third in the world for headers, with $218,464 in earnings.

A third tribal member, Erich Rogers, also performed well during the rodeo, which concluded on Saturday night. He's ranked ninth for headers.
