Native Sun News Correspondent ASHLAND, Mont. –– Marsha Small, a Northern Cheyenne, has had the “summer of a lifetime." Her assignment: traveling across Montana Indian Country, hitting all the annual tribal Pow Wows and celebrations to gain support for the reintroduction of buffalo on public lands in north-central Montana. It is a nice break from teaching Native American Contemporary Issues at Montana State University, Bozeman. “There has been overwhelming support from Indian Country for the effort,” she reports.
