A Native woman and her fiance have opened a new eatery in Regina, Saskatchewan, with a menu that includes some Native fare. Neechie's Pizzeria & Taco started serving up Indian tacos, bannock burgers, bannock soup and other dishes four days ago, CBC News reported. Business has been brisk. "Our first day that we were trying to open, someone smashed our window. We weren't even going to open that day. But we just, you know, chose to go on, so we did. And it was a successful day ... we were so busy," Tashina Ashdohonk told CBC. The Indian tacos and bannock burgers are made with bannock, a bread made from grains instead of flour. Get the Story:
