The legendary activist and musician Buffy Sainte-Marie has a new release this year but is also getting some love for one of her classic tracks. A Tribe Called Red released a remix of Sainte-Marie's "Working for the Government." The Canadian DJs shared their admiration of the singer in announcing the free track.

"Buffy Sainte-Marie is an innovator, trailblazer, an inspiration," the group said. "She was one of the few positive indigenous figures growing up for people our age."
Sainte-Marie, who hails from the Piapot First Nation in Saskatchewan, asked A Tribe Called Red to make the remix. Its release coincides with Canada Day.
Sainte-Marie is currently touring in support of Power In The Blood, her first new release since 2008. "Working for the Government" appeared on 2008's Running for the Drum.
