The Sault Tribe and Chippewa County in Michigan have entered into a government-to-government agreement. The two governments agreed to work together on common issues . They each will appoint representatives to a new Joint County-Tribal Liaison Committee that plans to meet on a regular basis. The county is scheduled to host the first meeting, The Soo Evening News.
