The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians announced a partnership with Lake Michigan College on Tuesday. The tribe pledged $500,000 over five years for the new Hanson Technology Center that's under construction on the college's campus in Benton Harbor. The money will support three programs to help put tribal members, tribal employees and other students in manufacturing, government and hospitality jobs. "The technology center gives us opportunities for economic development and sustainable growth," Chairman John Warren told The South Bend Tribune.
