Coquille Tribe names executive at economic development entity

The Coquille Tribe of Oregon has named a permanent chief executive for its economic development corporation.

Judy Metcalf has worked for the tribe for more than 10 years. She has handled business, gaming and land-into-trust projects at the Coquille Economic Development Corporation.

“During Judy’s interim time as CEO of CEDCO, she demonstrated her ability to improve communications and develop trust throughout all of the CEDCO entities,” Chairwoman Brenda Meade said in a press release. “Ultimately, Judy’s tireless work ethic and commitment to the Coquille Indian Tribe makes her the ideal individual to lead the tribe’s economic development.”

CEDCO manages the tribe's businesses.
