Interior Secretary Sally Jewell is kicking off the Native Youth Listening Tour tomorrow. Jewell will visit the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the Gila River Indian Community, both in Arizona, for the first sessions of the tour. She will hear directly from tribal youth about ways the federal government can improve their lives and expand opportunities. President Barack Obama announced the listening tour during the White House Tribal Nations Conference in December. He said members of his Cabinet will be visiting Indian Country throughout the year to engage with American Indian and Alaska Native youth. The White House also plans to host the first-ever Tribal Youth Gathering this year. Details haven't been announced. Get the Story:
