The Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado held a swearing-in ceremony on Monday for Chairman Clement Frost.

Frost, who has served on the council for 35 years, was serving as chair following the death of Jimmy Newton. He secured the post after defeating Joycelyn Peabody Dutchie in a run-off election on Friday.

Also installed were two new council members, Amy Barry and Tyson Thompson. They received the largest number of votes in the election.
