The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma will be announcing plans to develop a resort in Ohio. The tribe acquired 50 acres of its former homeland near Indian Lake. Plans call for a $150-$200 million family-style resort, WLIO reported. The tribe will apparently be asking the Bureau of Indian Affairs to place the site in restricted status, Lima Ohio reported. The tribe's ancestors lived in Ohio until they were forced to leave in 1832. Get the Story:
