The former finance director for the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Pleasant Point in Maine pleaded guilty to theft charges. Charles Fourcloud, 59, admitted he stole $20,000 when he worked as the tribe's finance director. He pleaded guilty to one count of theft from an Indian tribal government and three counts of embezzlement from an Indian tribal organization. The tribe fired Fourcloud, who goes by various names, last year after discovering his criminal past. He spent 10 years in federal prison on charges that he stole $2.66 million from the Oglala Lakota College in South Dakota. Fourcloud was arrested in California in April. He almost landed a job with a tribe there until officials with the Fort Bidwell Indian Community found out about his criminal record. Get the Story:
