Two well-known Indian law practitioners have joined the Greenberg Traurig firm. Loretta Tuell, a member of the Nez Perce Tribe, joins as a shareholder. She is a fformer majority staff director and chief counsel to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee. Heather Dawn Thompson, a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, is joining the American Indian Law, Government Law & Policy and Gaming practices. She has worked for the National Congress of American Indians and for the U.S. Attorney's Office in South Dakota. "From an American Indian law and policy perspective, they are a dream team," Troy Eid, a former U.S. Attorney who serves as co-chair of the firm's Indian law practice, said in a press release.
