Northern Arapaho Tribe per cap stirs boost in local economy

Members of the Northern Arapaho Tribe of Wyoming are boosting the local economy thanks to a $6,300 per capita payment.

The per cap comes from the tribe's share of a $157 million trust fund settlement. Beneficiaries are planning to buy cars, pay off debts, work on their houses and take some trips with the influx of cash.

The Eastern Shoshone Tribe also plans to issue a per cap from its share of the same settlement. Checks are being held up due to a political issue that has affected the tribal council.
