Shakopee Tribe to own, operate $105M hotel at Mall of America

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community will develop a $105 million hotel at the Mall of America in Minnesota.

The tribe will own and operate the hotel, according to news reports. It's part of a $300 million expansion of the giant shopping and entertainment complex.

The expansion is set to open in August 2015.
